Update: Because of the controversy, the band has returned the public money they received. Hopefully our government will take a closer look at where tax dollars are going. ARPA Note: Please send Minister of Canadian Heritage James Moore a note of thanks for speaking out against the offensive use of tax dollars to promote blasphemy against our Saviour (moore.j@parl.gc.ca). Francois Marchand, Postmedia News, May 19 2011: Vancouver punk band Living with Lions has come under fire from U.S. media following the release of its new album Holy S--- and has drawn the ire of Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore. The album's packaging, designed to look like a Bible with faded pages, lyrics written like Bible verses and subtitled (keep reading here but note that the description of the album is distrubing). |
